RI BIKE/CAR WASH Co-Hosting UIUC All-girl Cheerleading Team

CHEERS N' GEARS BIKE and CAR WASH

Date/Time: 09/06 Saturday, 1:30pm-4:30pm
Location: Lincoln and green BP Gas station
Washers: UIUC All-girls cheerleading. Dryers: Riding Illini Riders
Suggested Donation : $3 for bike $5 for car

*It has been buzzing for a while, and it took me some planning and organization.
There is only ONE purpose of this event, is to have fun, and get your bike clean, and to meet other riders, also to promote our Club!

Our Co-host are putting out about 20 girls.
Don't make us look bad guys.
If you have a bike ride it there,
If your bike doesn't run, drive your car,
if you don't have a car, run there and take shower!!!!!

Riding Illini First bikewash/Rally .

Co-hosting with UIUC All-girls cheerleading team.

Poster finalized this Saturday. Promotion starts this Sunday.

Damn. Of course, you guys pick the weekend I'll be at Devil's Lake State Park...

Should be a cool event.

i called green street CVS and they can no longer host this sort of thing due to liability issues. any other ideas for a location? what about a university parking lot?

has anyone talked to the cheerleaders to make sure they would actually show and not be at the football game?

Stinks, might have to do assembly hall parking.

They don't cheer in that football game.

assembly hall will probably be full of football parking. maybe one of the gas stations on campus? 1st and green or green and lincoln? ISR parking lot? PAR/FAR to catch some of the football people?

duh. good call.
I was actually trying to stay away from the university properties, they are trouble some to get permission from. I will call the school up today and discuss with them.

each host gets half of the profit. I don't know what the cheerleaders are using it for.
We are putting it into our club funding. (I am also considering donating some to motorcycle accident victims and their families)

Circle K (Green and Lincoln) Confirmed we can use their lot to host the event. Also will provide us water, as long as we don't drink alcohol there.

did you get something in writing from them? it might help to have that in case the person working the station on that morning is cranky :p

I plan on meeting with them sometime this weekend. I will keep it posted.

An alcoholic car/bike wash!? has anyone been to, or seen one of these? I mean really, how many drunken carwashes do you have to have before you decide you don't want alcohol there? :lol:

If 20 college cheerleaders showed up to my job and were going to be all wet and soapy throughout the day, I don't think there would be a chance that I could be cranky.
